"À Espera" was composed especially for Orquestra de Sopros FEA. Specifically written to be performed in the minutes before the concert, the piece seeks an interaction between musicians and audience, working with musical sections of different textures through the use of groups of random notes. The piece is performed from memory by all the musicians who move around all the places close to presentation, such as foyer, corridors, concert hall itself, etc. The three signals usually used to signal the beginning of the concert are replaced by trumpet blasts that also serve as a reference for the beginning of each section of the piece. The conductor is in charge of the musicians themselves, and the conductor also participates in the performance through small interventions and at the end of the piece, after the final positioning of the musicians in the concert hall. The writing of the piece is adapted to student groups (level 2) and can be performed by reduced wind formations.
